Premium plans from AVG include more powerful features that offer a better security experience. The paid plan, for example offers anti-ransomware, which protects your files and data from hackers who extort cash through stealing your device. AVG Ultimate also includes web and email security to protect against phishing and spam. Additional features include a file shredder, safer banking, and protection of webcams.
AVG users can take advantage of a range of free features, including the photo vault, which stores photos in an encrypted format, and an optimization tool that cleans Android devices by removing junk files. Many of the other features of AVG are available only to paid subscribers. This includes an identity protection feature that tracks leaks of passwords, as well as the ability to remotely track the stolen phone and more sophisticated anti-theft features such as a camera trap that stealthily captures photos of anyone who attempts to steal the device.
AVG’s malware protection is supported by a proven track record in AV Test’s monthly tests. This includes a perfect score on the last test that was conducted in March and April this year.
